A comparative study of endoscopic verses conventional septoplasty

<p><strong>Background: </strong>Septoplasty is the surgical procedure for correction of a deviated nasal septum. It can be achieved either with an endoscopic or conventional approach. Endoscope allows better visualization and magnification, helps in enhancing accuracy there also no need overexposure, excessive septal anatomy manipulation, osseocartilaginous disarticulation septum further resection. Endoscopic septoplasty not only used to address symptomatic obstruction, but improve sinus surgery. This study was conducted compare intra operative bleeding two techniques treatment septum.</p><p><strong>Methods: </strong>The present department otorhinolaryngology, Prince Mohammed hospital Aseer central hospital. The 30 patients having DNS, age group 18-50 years after obtaining their consent. were randomly divided into groups 15 each. Group A (n=15) underwent B under general anesthesia. compared regarding surgery.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>In more during surgery less surgery.</p><p><strong>Conclusions: offers alternative technique superior visualization, excellent illumination tool teaching. preferred posterior deviation, whereas still anterior deviation.</p>
